Privacy policy

Last updated November 6, 2026

Body Reset Guides ("we", "us") is committed to protecting your personal information. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your rights — including under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and Data Protection Act 2018, the EU GDPR, and US state privacy laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA. We are the data controller. Contact: hello@bodyresetguides.com.

What we collect

  • Free starters, quiz results and waitlists: your first name (where asked), email address, the guide you're interested in and, for the quiz, the result you chose to save.
  • Contact form: your name, email address and message.
  • Purchases: when payments are enabled, your email, billing details and order information are processed by our payment provider. We do not see or store your full card details.
  • Technical data: basic information such as browser type and pages visited, used to keep the site secure and working.

We do not ask for health information. Please don't send us medical details. Quiz and tool answers stay in your browser unless you choose to email yourself a result.

How and why we use it (lawful basis under UK/EU GDPR)

  • Consent — to send you the free starter or quiz result and related emails. You can withdraw consent at any time.
  • Contract — to process your order, deliver your plan and handle refunds.
  • Legitimate interests — to respond to enquiries and keep our website secure.
  • Legal obligation — to keep financial records required by tax authorities.

Who we share it with

We use trusted service providers to host our website and database, send emails and process payments. They only process your data on our instructions. Some providers may store data in other countries (including the US); where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as adequacy decisions, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

  • Starter, quiz and waitlist emails: until you unsubscribe, or for up to 24 months after the relevant launch.
  • Contact messages: up to 12 months after our last correspondence.
  • Order records: as long as tax and accounting law requires (typically six to seven years).

Your rights (UK and EU)

You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. Email hello@bodyresetguides.com; we respond within one month. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or your local EU data protection authority.

Your rights (US residents)

Depending on your state (for example California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and others), you may have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to access and get a copy of it, to correct it, to delete it, and to opt out of its "sale" or "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising and of targeted advertising. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. To make a request, email hello@bodyresetguides.com; we may need to verify your identity. You can use an authorized agent where your state allows.

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We don't use advertising or analytics cookies. If that ever changes, we will update this policy, honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signals, and provide an opt-out here. You can still email us with any privacy request.

Children

Our site and products are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.

Cookies and third parties

We only use cookies and local storage that are strictly necessary for the site to work. If we introduce analytics or marketing cookies, we will ask for consent first where required.

  • Videos: embedded videos don't load until you click play. When you do, the video loads from YouTube (via its privacy-enhanced youtube-nocookie.com domain), and Google/YouTube may set cookies under its own privacy policy.
  • Affiliate links: if you click an affiliate link (for example to Amazon), the retailer may set cookies to record that you came from our site, under its own privacy policy.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above shows when it was last changed.
